About BYS

Fred Hoffman, BYS Founderr

Blackford Youth Soccer League is a community-based, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing quality youth soccer opportunities for children and families in Blackford County and surrounding communities.

For more than three decades, our league has served hundreds of young athletes each year through structured, affordable, and development-focused programming. We are proud to be a place where players of all ability levels can learn the game, build confidence, and develop lifelong skills both on and off the field.

Our complex includes five dedicated youth soccer fields and serves as the official host site for Blackford Jr/Sr High School boys’ and girls’ soccer programs. Throughout the year, families from Blackford, Grant, Wells, Delaware, Jay and other surrounding counties gather at our facilities for practices, games, tournaments, and community events.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide accessible, organized soccer programming that promotes:

  • Leadership and character development

  • Physical health and active lifestyles

  • Inclusion and equal opportunity participation

  • Safe, structured recreational space

  • Positive community engagement

Community Commitment

Blackford Youth Soccer League is entirely volunteer-driven. Our board members, coaches, referees, and families work together to maintain our facilities, support our athletes, and strengthen youth sports in our region.

As we continue to grow, we remain committed to improving our fields, enhancing player development, and expanding opportunities for youth in our community.
